Reasons To DisagreeMaybe it was just the language barrier, but German TV seems to have waaay more ads that NZ TV. I don't think there is anything wrong with what we have now, although a few less per thirty minute program would be nice. 7 June 2008
I was once watching a league game in aussie and they had an ad break during the game in the middle of the first half! you would never see that here lol 28 June 2009
I have been out of New Zealand for 3 years, living in Singapore which has little ads and they just repeat over and over again, I miss New Zealand's ads 20 June 2011

Reasons To AgreeThere are too many and they're completely tasteless and crude. 8 March 2006
Better to have ads than a licence fee. There are rather a lot, mind you - how about increasing the fees and having a few less? 11 April 2007
don't know about other countries 20 December 2007
dont know about the other countries but there are way too many 20 March 2008
never mind the comparison - there's too much adverting full stop! Especially by the bunch of grinning, simpering, sickos who peddle patent medicines! 28 September 2008
Far too much - it makes watching TV a real chore! 22 June 2010
There are too many, but not compared to elsewhere. 10 October 2010

Reasons for Remain Neutral
don't know about other countries , too many here
Haven't seen many foreign ad breaks, but sometimes I get quite weary of ads. On Desperate Housewives (I admitted I watch that?) there seem to be more ads than show-but does that mean we have more or less advertising than USA?
I don't mind ads in television shows but they should be left out in movies.
