Should not preference anybody

Dumb Q - any modification should be rational and not favour anybody!

Reasons To Agree

Neutral becase the question doesnt quite suit my position. Communities should have the right to determine how their environment is changed and affected by change. Any act, resource management or otherwise should give power to communities to stop development where they do not want it or limit it to levels that are acceptable to that community. Big developers with lots of money should not simply be able to overide the desires of the community whose lives will be affected by the developers actions. Developers should not be able to take communities to court to push ahead with unwanted developments - again, money pushing people around! We can afford it, you can't so we'll win seems to be the message many communities are left with today. The progress and development of the community should be up to the community - that is what democracy is. Where there is a majority opposed to development that development should cease - end of story.
